STILLWATER JSL AT A GLANCE
A Bit of Background
The Stillwater Junior Service League is composed of local women who have a heart to meet our community’s needs through service. Since 1984, the group consists of approximately 50 women who meet monthly and serve on committees to execute educational and charitable community missions through volunteerism.
MISSIONS
The purpose of the Junior Service League is exclusively educational and charitable and is:
To promote volunteerism;
To develop the potential of its members for voluntary participation in community affairs; and
To demonstrate the effectiveness of trained volunteers

HARVEST II
This event is held every Fall. Harvest II is a city wide food drive collecting approximately 40,000+ lbs of food annually to help stock 8 local pantries. This is truly a community and family event. We have up to 500 volunteers including our children, families, and community members. In 2018, JSL will celebrate 30th years of service to this mission.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS
JSL works closely with COCAA to provide income eligible families from Payne County with Christmas gifts for each of their children from newborn through 18 years old. JSL also provides a package of socks and underwear for each child, wrapping paper and a box of food for Christmas dinner.
CRISIS INTERVENTION

JSL has a relationship with each Stillwater public school counselor and in the local mission houses. We meet emergency needs, plus standard supplies to help struggling families.
THE SCORCHER RUN

This is the JSL annual fundraiser held the beginning of June. The event is growing and has just completed its 5th year. This is the first half marathon in Stillwater!
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.
